The following downloads are available for our software clients to update the program created by Valuations Northwest.  Since our programs release in July, 2004, we have found several minor problems that have been corrected. We suggest you check this page regularly to be sure you are using the latest version of our program.

Note -- Directions for Downloading Updates:

        All downloadable files are in a self-extracting zipped format.

        Download the selected file, save it to disk in any temporary folder. When you double-click the file name from "My Computer  or "Explorer", the file will extract to the default "A55vnw  folder. If needed, you may point to another drive at the time of installation. Be sure Alpha Five is not running at the time of the update.

Updprog1.exe (4.9mb, updated 10/14/05)
        Latest report, browse, and form layouts, fixed errors in some report totals.
       
Upddata1.exe (3.4mb, updated 10/14/05)
        Data file field rules and indexes, contains no data so your asset and memo files will not be overwritten.

Updtrnd1.exe (63kb, updated 04/05/05)
        These are the trend files for updating replacement costs in your assets files. These are updated quarterly.

Updscan1.exe (2.2mb, updated 12/02/04)
        Updated conduit installation files so your PC can transfer data to and from the scanner.

Updscan2.exe (5.8mb, updated 12/02/04)
        Palm operating system version 3.1 for your Symbol scanner. This is the older version of the program that matches our conduit program.

Your Class Code file may need correcting.

        We have discovered a few minor errors in your Clascode file that may result in a missing value for Asset Life and produce minor errors in some accounting report totals.

        The Class Code file (aka clascode) is a master listing provided by Valuations Northwest. We did not include a new Class Code file with our update because some clients have altered descriptions and lives in their Class Code file, and we don�t want to write over their changes.

        You may make the following changes by starting the Asset Maintenance Program, viewing the opening menu, then "Switch to Control Panel", click on "Tables/Sets  tab, and highlight "clascode". Now, if you click the box marked "View  you will see a browse of all Class Code assets. (You may also double-left-click on clascode to open the browse)

        Locate class codes 351, 352, 353, 354, 355 and change the Life to 6
        Locate class codes 441, 442, 443, 444 and change the Life to 5
        Add a record to the file as follows:
                Class               209
                Desc                VIDEO PROJECTOR, LCD SCREEN
                Age                   8

        Exit the Browse and all records should be saved.
